Josje:"When you don’t know what to wear, it’s time to get back to basics! Because good basics save you from standing there, in front of your wardrobe, for literally 35 minutes (I’ve timed several times and this was my personal record ) and yep, still standing there not knowing what to wear! It’s horrible, all my -to-do- lists keep flashing through my mind. I know I need to hurry: dry my hair, put on my make up and be in time to open the shop to dress all you nice customers with so much joy! And I’m even the sister without kids ;) But when it comes to myself, once in a while: I just freeze. For these recognizable moments, I’ve created a drawer of basics: 1. Citizens of Humanity jeans 2. Can pep Rey t-shirts 3. Monique van Heist jacket 4. A.P.C belt 5. Michel Vivien sandal DONE !

Floor: "What to wear when you just had a baby? Can Pep Rey!!! I already had my stack of new Can Pep Rey items ready for a while ;) Now with, but also without a baby, Can Pep Rey gives me the effortless basic look which I love. Our small family is twinning at the moment, husband also in Can Pep Rey and both the boys in MarMar Copenhagen (available at Pomme de Jus). White, grey, navy.. real boy’s mom”

Nikkie:"In my pre- Objet Trouve age I invested in eye-catcher items in my closet. I was under the impression that this was the only right way. Boy was I wrong...OT taught me the importance of a basic quality wardrobe. Basics to me are for example a  Joseph t-shirt, a Citizens of Humanity jeans, a Can Pep Rey shirt or Monique van Heist blazer, and a pair of simple elegant Michel Vivien sandals. I sincerely wear those for years. Some would say I have trouble with saying goodbye to clothing items. :) These ones prove their investment worthy time and again in quality and well maintenance (washing etc) with the intensity of wearing. Transcending trends at the same time. This is also the case now that I am pregnant. I had visions of beautiful long romantic dresses with a belly, but I notice that I feel most comfortable and myself by styling with basics. Combining with the occasional (however, also invest worthy) eye-catcher I guess. "

Carmijn: "Denim, especially blue jeans, are the thing I reach for when I'm a little lost. Not just lost in what to wear in the moment, but a little lost in life because denim is not just the base of a good outfit, it is the one item that makes me feel most like, me! In a time where there's so much trend-driven fashion thrown at us it feels very grounding to wear something so timeless. My favorite Citizens jeans will always have a spot in my closet, it's an investment and my ride-or-die for the years to come!"
